Hard work, dedication and perseverance are the secrets to his feat as one of the country’s top fashion designer today. From his humble beginning in a small boutique in Sampaloc, Manila during the 1980’s, he started making casual wear and uniforms and later on designed wedding apparels because of original & personal attention to his wedding gowns. Edward Teng’s name gained recognition not only in his client base but even in the entertainment industry and showbiz personalities where lots of his creations can be seen on different television shows like soap opera in ABS CBN and GMA 7.
In 1986 to 1988, Edward worked in Saudi Arabia as in house designer of the royal family. ” It was a great privilege and honor to design the clothing’s of kings, queen’s prince and princess. It further honed my abilities.”
In order to ensure an orderly and systematic flow in his ateliers, Edward has computerized his operation. likewise, he hired the services of an events coordinator to assist customers from budget planning up to actual event, be it corporate, school homecoming, debut, kiddie parties and wedding.
A veteran in designing business, still Edward work indefatigably to sharpen his craft and keep abreast with the latest design trends. like all forms of art, designing requires a constant search for perfecting one’s skill and never-ending process of researching and studying. In an industry dictated by frequent changes, it is best to be knowledgeable and well informed of development in fads, styles and techniques.

True enough in his 27 years as successful couturier and designer, he has participated in numerous fashion shows and exhibit in hotels like Makati Shangri-La, Edsa Shangri-La, Bayview, Crown Plaza, Phil.Plaza,Ramada, Holiday Inn,NBC Tent, Wedding Library and Mega Trade, Mall of Asia, Rockwell Tent, PICC Forum. His goal is “to meet customer’s needs and satisfaction while providing the best work of art and excellent service at the cost that fits the budget.
